I Got You Pegged
All right, so it’s not a secret that I’ve been spending my free time this holiday season watching an excessive (maybe.) amount of Frasier. Like, it’s gotten so bad that I was eating scrambled eggs yesterday and I dropped a little on my face. Then actually considered tweeting about it. I didn’t, but I’m writing about it right now, so I guess that makes all of this moot. Whatever. Frasier is only the best sitcom (!) because in one show you had these things:
1. Noel Coward, Dorothy Parker, and other Algonquin Roundtable references galore.
2. That easy on the eyes John Mahoney.
3. It’s a show for pompous people by pompous people (FPPBPP).
Also, Netflix recently added a slew of new episodes. ~*DrEAmS CoME TruE*~
My favorite character on the show is Niles, obviously. I find Frasier’s brother’s OCD tendencies to be adorably realistic, even though I often want to ask him why he doesn’t use a wet one instead of a handkerchief because, seriously, what is a dry piece of cloth wiping your hands going to do about the ebola virus? Nothing. So by season six, when Purell was pretty much a thing I’m not sure why he didn’t start using it.
Minor detail.
Duncan Carey, someone who could easily be considered My Social Media Stalker (in only the most socially acceptable way) warned me that I shouldn’t “Pull a Niles,” when around 1am last night, I couldn’t control myself and started dropping Frasier’s name in some tweets.
Speaking of, do you follow me?
And then he made these:

To quote Duncan, “the revolution will not be televised, it will be Tumbled #pullinaniles”
First meme of 2012?
For me, anyway.
